COOL West Food Pantry
With Christmas approach we would appreciate the following for Christmas Baskets: boxed potatoes, canned fruit, canned vegetables, desert mix, canned soup, powdered milk or juice, canned ham or a gift card to purchas one, and Christmas Napkins.
TRINITY MISSION ENDOWMENT AND MEMORIAL FUND
During 2011 we held 6 Charitable Giving Seminars. Our next seminar will be on Sunday Feb. 19th. In the parlor from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m.
There are six categories of memorial fund projects to select from when giving a gift.
1. Christian Education: $400 is needed for purchasing puppets and resources for a puppet ministry.
2. Facility Needs: $1000 for installing lights to back light the cross on the front wall of the chancel area.
3. Worship: $4600 to make improvements and upgrades for our sound system.
4. Trinity’s Preschool: $10,000 for a scholarship program to assist needy families with the cost of tuition.
5. Outreach: $1000 an “Emergency Needs Fund” for individuals or families, who need assistance.
6. Trinity’s Endowment Fund: These funds are invested and only the interest is expended on various church needs.
Please use the Memorial Envelopes, available at the Welcome Desk, to make donations to the Memorial Fund.
Job Seekers Support Group.
We meet every Monday evening from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Our purpose is to walk together with those who are looking for work. Anyone from Trinity or our community is welcome to attend. When one of our group becomes employed, we will place a rose on the altar in thanksgiving to God. Work is not only a means of earning a paycheck, although that is an important one, but it is also a way in which we as Christians contribute to the welfare of others.
